The weather was pretty good, so we hit the beach with the neighbors. And Josie was there!
A few too many photos follow. Josie on the beach:
Brian seems to be growing a beard (ugh) and he's getting a hard time for it at home. Anna sees him in the morning and says: "Daddy, go shave!" I think he just does these things (like shaving his head) to torture the women in his life. I guess that's fair. We torture him often.
We went to see Dr. Langston, Anna's pediatrician, this week. Anna checked out just fine. Not sure if I remember the exact stats, but she is something like 34 inches tall (40th percentile) and she weighs in at 28 pounds or so (50th percentile). I guess they stop measuring giant heads around this time. Anna LOVED the doctor and the whole visit. She got two stickers and a sugar-free lollipop, so she has requested a return visit. When I told her she goes again after her birthday, when she turns 3, she said, "It's my birthday, I'm 3!" She was very good for the doctor, he was very impressed. And we all got flu shots (mists!). Might end up back there for H1N1 shots before her birthday, we'll see. I know that would be a pleasant surprise for Anna.
Anna has been telling us about the food she'll like when she's a "big girl," stuff she doesn't much care for now: tomatoes, sauce on pasta, onions, mushrooms, pepperoni on pizza. The list keeps growing. She also plans to "drive" (fly) airplanes when that magic age arrives.
